Background Information:

Niklas was born into German nobility in a small town called Crepen on the German/Swiss border. When he was 9 a man came to live within the town. This man was a priest of some kind and the towns people, including Niklas left him alone. However, people began to go missing. No one really picked up on it until Niklas was 22, which was rather shocking to the young man. Having done some military service, Niklas was selected as the towns person to go into the priests house and demon that he answer for his crimes. Unfortunately the priest had been summoning demons and he let had just summoned a demon of vengence and an anger demon. Immediately the anger demon attacked the town and began to kill as many villagers as possible. Seeing his anger and thirst for vengence, the demon of vengence gave him an offer. Become a vampire, sell his soul to that demon, and he would be given the power to avenge his town. He took the deal and was able to kill the priest and drive both demons back down into Hell but by then it was too late and most of the townspeople lay dead.

Since that day, Niklas has been wandering the earth living the life of a millionaire recluse most of the time. But from time to time he would spend a decade or so in the middle of society, really living life with as many 'friends' as he could. Of course they were there for his money but he didn't care. When the apocalyse came, Niklas was furious. He had taken this cursed power in order to protect humans and he decided that he would protect them from the demons.
